Visual Arts

The PAC Visual Arts Committee (VAC) was created to support a school goal to increase visual arts at EMJS. The Artist in Residence program was developed to connect local artists in our community with EMJS and expand art education in the classroom through visual arts workshops for each division.
 
For the 2010-2011 school year, EMJS is honoured to be working with artists Sandi Henrich and Lesley Friedmann. Sandi will be introducing all students to the art of relief printmaking to create a school-wide banner inspired by the theme of “Nature in our Neighbourhood.” Whereas Lesley will be offering a variety of workshops in several mediums tailored for each class.
